What happens in the USA affects all other nations. There is only one option for the Christian vote in this 2024 presidential election and that is Donald J Trump. The reasons Christians should find most pressing include Trump being the most pro-life candidate, the one most likely to take on the “deep state”, the one most likely to attend to the US border problem, the one who has shown himself in his last term of office to be a good negotiator with non-Western leaders and the one who has promised to end the Ukraine/Russia War.
We knew where Kamala Harris stood on abortion when she went after investigative journalist, David Daleiden. He had exposed Planned Parenthood’s cruelty and greed in video footage he got of Planned Parenthood’s executives in discussion with buyers for the aborted babies’ body parts, as though they were discussing car-parts. What brutality. What an affront to human decency. What an affront to God. These executives were talking of selling aborted babies’ body parts to researchers for experimentation and to the highest bidders in need of the organs. This practice is illegal yet the then attorney general of California, Kamala Harris, went after David Daleiden rather than the illegal operations of Planned Parenthood.
Tim Walz revealed in his debate with J D Vance how pro-abortion he is. As Governor of Minnesota, he tightened “reproductive rights”. The National Catholic Register reports:
Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz’s elevated profile … has led to wider awareness of his staunch support for abortion in his state — including a bill he signed into law last year that removed a requirement to try to save the life of a baby born alive after an attempted abortion.
A Minnesota law that had been on the books since 1976 required “responsible medical personnel” to use “[a]ll reasonable measures consistent with good medical practice” to “preserve the life and health of the born alive infant.”
The legislation Walz signed in May 2023 got rid of the word “preserve” and replaced the previous wording with a revised requirement “to care for the infant who is born alive.” …
“The concern is that the law no longer requires that lifesaving measures be taken. It only requires ‘care.’ So the law as it’s now written could allow a baby to be left to die, even a baby who could be saved with appropriate lifesaving measures,” Paul Stark, communications director with the pro-life group Minnesota Citizens Concerned for Life, told the Register. …
The same 2023 Minnesota law also removed a previous requirement to report to the state the deaths of aborted unborn babies 20 weeks’ gestation and older and stopped state funding for pro-life pregnancy centers.
The beliefs and attitudes of these two candidates, Kamala Harris and Tim Walz, especially towards the most truly vulnerable human beings in any society, should be alarming. It is imperative for Christians to discern evil when staring it in the face. How can there be a true quandary in this presidential contest?
Unfortunately yes, I agree, some of those who will be playing a part in the Trump administration have had issues in the past and even the present over the abortion question. The difference between the two presidential candidates is that one wants to squash the will of the people while the other stands on behalf of the people. Harris would use state power to silence truth and dissent from state diktats while Trump has been the first and only president to march with pro-lifers and seemingly the last bastion of true democracy. It boils down to the deep state (Harris) versus the people (Trump). What is the deep state? I quote from Dr Robert Malone’s book, ‘Lies Mt Government Told Me’:
The nation and its governing arms (including the intrenched bureaucracy often referred to as the “deep state” or “administrative state”) now primarily serve the interests of multinational corporations as well as their managers and owners, instead of the other way around—serving the general citizenry. The term that best describes this system of government is called inverted totalitarianism. This political science terminology was first coined in 2003 by the political theorist and writer Dr. Sheldon Wolin. Inverted totalitarianism is what the government of the United States has devolved into, as Dr. Wolin had warned might happen in the book Democracy Incorporated [305]. The United States has been co-opted into a “managed democracy.” The American republic was placed into the hands of oligarchs by bureaucratic imperatives and managerial principles and practices, which have created a creeping form of totalitarianism. We are in the midst of regime change without a shot fired. Many years ago on Fox News, following years of my pondering why the left seemed to WANT to not fix things in society or to consistently choose what was in the worst interests of its people throughout the Western world, a commentator in effect said this: “The world is at it is for a reason. Someone is orchestrating these outcomes.” This was a game-changer for me. Ever since 9/11, I knew that all was not as it appeared because of the West’s doing the opposite of what it should have done following 9/11: tighten immigration, especially of activist Muslims. Instead, they were welcomed everywhere. Leftism with its upside down moral compass was the default everywhere I looked. It was even infecting the church and this had been going on long before 9/11. Indeed, I have wondered for many years whether evangelicalism is inherently leftist!
Once-free nations are being taken over by the deep state. Attempts to enforce government will on the people in areas as diverse as health, gender identity, marriage, deciding who gets to live and who gets to die based on others’ convenience should all figure prominently in Christians’ electing choices. This is the election of a lifetime. Donald J Trump has asserted his position on vital issues. Here are a couple:
President Trump will immediately reverse Joe Biden’s barbaric “gender-affirming care” policies, and he will sign an executive order instructing every federal agency, including the Department of Education, to cease all programs that promote the concept of sex and gender transition, at any age.

This election is a choice between the West finally collapsing and the West mustering back some courage to fight another day for the values that Christianity stands for. I do not stand for freedom as the biggest issue although that should be permitted under a just government. It was not the issue of freedom that had me questioning why all the bizarre health advice kept coming from officialdom. What was at play for me was wondering why we were being coaxed, coerced and even bullied into what appeared uninformed and dangerous health advice. I had never seen such a thing before in my life. OK, COVID was a nasty disease. But there were many highly-credentialled physicians and scientists questioning why routine, effective and cheap medications and practices including free ones were being banned and replaced with expensive, not-sufficiently-researched and dangerous vaccines. There were nurses whistle-blowing on the horrific mandated hospital procedures in response to COVID cases. I am normally happy to comply with government regulations. I don’t question government directions normally and freely comply in the interests of being one person in a society working for the common good. But COVID mandates were cruel and unreasonable. Less people now continue to claim that COVID protocol compliance is what is protective. I say it is dangerous and that is why I found all the bizarre governmental behaviour around the issue so outrageous.
Governments, state and federal, need to understand that they are not God. With all of the insanity and evil of western governments now in so many policy areas, they should not be in the business of trying to re-engineer the human soul, that is, to have us comply with a wicked and/or powerful minority through accepting policies that we know are antithetical to the truth. This is known as repression. It is Marxist. We are being re-educated by government force. “Engineering the human soul” had been the language of Stalin in 1932 and repeated by Deng Xiaoping and Xi Jinping. I know many don’t trust wikipedia, but here’s wikipedia:

We hope that more and more comrades in their ranks will become real engineers of the human soul. In 2018, Xi Jinping, general secretary of the Chinese Communist Party, stated that “Teachers are the engineers of the human soul and the inheritors of human civilization. They carry the important task of spreading knowledge, spreading ideas, spreading truth, shaping soul, shaping life, and shaping newcomers. The fundamental task of education must be nurturing capable young people well-prepared to join the socialist cause. Better education and guidance are needed to build the noble ideal of Communism and the common ideal of socialism with Chinese characteristics among the students.”
Christians also believe that the human soul needs shaping but that this is only possible and worthy when done by God. Human attempts at engineering the human soul are doomed to end in catastrophe because these attempts are being made by fallible human beings with fallible human ideas. Only God can reveal to us the truth of human existence. Communism, that recurring enemy of the people that has been re-emerging and increasing in strength for decades in formerly free nations, is the biggest current competitor to Christianity in the West. The souls of individuals are held captive by Satan until the truth of Jesus as Lord of all that exists, the Saviour of the nations, is revealed to them and accepted by them. God the Father has most fully revealed Himself to humanity through Jesus Christ. The Christian faith is most fully revealed in that book of all books that we have amazingly inherited, on the blood of earlier martyrs, the Bible.
