The news of former president, Donald Trump, having had an assassination attempt made on him at his rally in Butler, Philadelphia, was horrible but assassination attempts are to be expected. Firstly, this goes with the territory of being a presidential candidate. Secondly, there are crazies on the loose. Thirdly, stooges of powerful forces are taken advantage of from time to time. This may have been the case with Thomas Matthew Crooks. Fourthly, Donald Trump had so many who not only opposed his policies but hated him, personally. So many vicious attacks.
The news is now nearly two weeks old but the repercussions are continuing, especially very recently in the form of congressional hearings with the director of the US secret services, Kimberly Cheatle. Why, when Trump supporters alerted authorities to a possible sniper on the rooftop of a nearby building, did security services not act before the attempt? Is this an example of deep state or other-source malevolence or of incompetence? It would appear to be both, with incompetence reigning through truly mind-numbing Diversity, Equity and Inclusion policies. The director of USSS needs to explain why, under her watch, there was a near-tragedy for Donald Trump, a fatal tragedy for one Trump supporter, the husband and father of a now-grieving family, and two others were critically wounded (now recovering). Finally, after stonewalling Congressmen and women at the hearing, Ms Cheatle has resigned!
I hope and pray that the rest of the election process goes safely for all. Thankfully, the Republican National Convention this year featured acknowledgements of God by many of its speakers and audience. Christian prayer, too, had a place. May there be a mass return of Americans to the God of their Pilgrim Fathers, the God of the Bible. A nation or civilisation that continues to shed innocent blood through rampant abortion and to commit other evil practices has shown itself to have turned away from God. National repentance is needed over laws and policies that depart from a Christian foundation. Laws and policies that stem from Karl Marx’s satanic thought system must be rejected. This goes for all nations that have abandoned their wonderful Judeo-Christian heritage.
Jeremiah 18:7-8 (NASB) 7 At one moment I might speak concerning a nation or concerning a kingdom to uproot, to pull down, or to destroy it; 8 if that nation against which I have spoken turns from its evil, I will relent concerning the calamity I planned to bring on it.
